1. Who runs this

This application is operated by Isaac Lies, an individual. It is not operated by a company, and it is not operated by Erlanger Health. If you need to reach a person about anything in these Terms, write to ihlies97@gmail.com.

2. Institutional status

Institutional status

This application is an independent project. It is not currently formally endorsed, sanctioned, approved, certified, or licensed by Erlanger Health, and nothing it produces should be read as an official statement of Erlanger Health or as carrying that institution's authority.

The operator is a clinical trainee within Erlanger Health and built this tool for his own reference. That is a personal capacity and not an institutional one, and it does not make this an institutional tool.

The application is presently under compliance review, and its institutional status may change as that review proceeds. Until it does, treat every response as an unofficial convenience copy and rely on the guideline as published by Erlanger Health at Erlanger.org.

3. What this is

Erlanger Trauma PMG Assistant is a reference tool. It searches a set of Erlanger practice management guidelines and returns a written summary with citations back to the source documents.

It is not medical advice. It does not create a clinician-patient relationship with anyone. It is not a substitute for your own clinical judgment, for your attending, or for reading the guideline.

Every response is built to be checked. That is the point of the citations, and checking them is part of using this tool correctly. Open the source document before you act on anything you read here. Do not treat a response as an answer you can rely on by itself.

This tool does not process images, waveforms, monitor tracings, laboratory instrument output, or any other signal. You cannot upload files to it, and you should not try.

In an emergency, follow your institution's activation protocols. Do not stop to use this.

You may create an account if all of the following are true:

This tool is not for patients and not for the general public. If you are a patient looking for information about your own care, talk to your care team.

5. Your account

Your account is yours alone. Do not share your password or let anyone else use your login. Register with an email address you actually control and keep it current, because it is how we would reach you about a security problem.

We can suspend or close an account that is being used against these Terms, and we can close the service entirely. This is a free tool with one person behind it. Do not build a workflow that assumes it will be there tomorrow.

6. Do not enter protected health information

Do not type patient information into this application. No names, no medical record numbers, no dates of birth, no dates of service, no accession numbers, no free-text case descriptions that would let someone work out who the patient is. Ask your question in general terms.

This is a term of these Terms, not a suggestion. When you check the box at signup, you are agreeing to it.

The reason is in the Privacy Policy and it is worth two sentences here. What you type is stored, and it is processed by outside services. This application is not a HIPAA-compliant system, it has no business associate agreement with any of those services, and it cannot lawfully hold patient information.

The practice management guidelines in this application are the work of Erlanger Health. They are reproduced here for reference and are not licensed to you. Where a response cites a document, go to the source at Erlanger.org and read it there.

Nothing here transfers any rights in those documents to you or to the operator.

Erlanger Health and its names and marks belong to Erlanger Health. They are used here only to say which institution's guidelines these are.

If you represent Erlanger Health and want material removed, changed, or restricted, write to ihlies97+pmg-institutional@gmail.com and it will be handled promptly.

9. No warranty

This tool is provided as is. It may be wrong. It may be out of date. It may be unavailable. Guidelines change, and the copies here are captured at a point in time. There is no warranty of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. This disclaimer is intended to be conspicuous and you should read it as such.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Isaac Lies is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss arising out of your use of or reliance on this application. Total liability for any claim will not exceed one hundred dollars (USD 100).

Nothing in this section limits liability for gross negligence, for willful misconduct, or for anything else that cannot be limited under Tennessee law.

11. Governing law

Tennessee law governs these Terms, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. Any dispute goes to the state or federal courts sitting in Hamilton County, Tennessee, and you agree to their jurisdiction.

12. Changes

These Terms carry a version number and an effective date at the top. If we change them in a way that matters, we will ask you to accept the new version the next time you log in, and we will email you. If we change them in a way that does not matter, such as fixing a typo or updating an address, we will post the new version and note the date. Old versions stay available.
